Welcome to the PBD Journal Club!

Overview of PBD Journal Club

Join the PBD Journal Club and participate in monthly reading and discussion of
journal articles on basic and applied behavior analysis, autism, developmental
disabilities, and mental retardation. Each month, a journal club member will
volunteer to lead a discussion of a journal article of his or her choice.
The
journal club meeting is held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on the third Friday of the
month.  The location of the meeting is usually at a restaurant or pub in the
immediate area of Falls Church, Virginia (i.e., a late-lunch meeting).
We will
d
istribute a copy of the article in an email to all journal club members about two
weeks in advance of the journal club meeting.
 Membership in the PBD Journal
Club is open to individuals in the Northern Virginia area with an established
penchant for basic and/or applied behavior analysis (e.g., open to parents,
students, behavior analysts, psychologists, professors, teachers, speech-
language pathologists, et cetera).  There are no dues or fees for club
membership, although members must pay for their own club-related expenses
(e.g., photocopying, transportation, meals, beverages,
et cetera).  The benefits
of club membership include maintaining an informed interest in basic and
applied behavior analysis, social and professional networking, and receipt of
the quarterly PBD Newsletter.  You can apply for or renew your membership in
the PBD Journal Club by completing and submitting the Membership
Application (click
