Welcome to the PBD Journal Club!
Overview of PBD Journal Club
Join the PBD Journal Club and participate in monthly reading and discussion of
journal articles on basic and applied behavior analysis, autism, developmental
disabilities, and mental retardation. Each month, a journal club member will
volunteer to lead a discussion of a journal article of his or her choice. We will
post a master copy of the article in the Members Only section (click Members
Only at right) along with the date, time, and location of the next journal club
meeting. Club members can also use the Members Only section to volunteer as
a lead discussant for a meeting and to access other club-related
announcements. Membership in the PBD Journal Club is open to individuals in
the Northern Virginia area with an established penchant for basic and/or
applied behavior analysis (e.g., open to parents, students, behavior analysts,
psychologists, professors, teachers, speech-language pathologists, et cetera).
There are no dues or fees for club membership, although members must pay
for their own club-related expenses (e.g., photocopying, transportation, meals,
beverages, et cetera). The benefits of club membership include maintaining an
informed interest in basic and applied behavior analysis, social and
professional networking, and receipt of the quarterly PBD Journal Club
e-Newsletter. You can apply for or renew your membership in the PBD Journal
Club by completing and submitting the Membership Application (click Join PBD
Journal Club at right).
